Alexander McQueen x PUMA Black Tech KO

Alexander McQueen was one of the most important english Designers of his time, not only because of his famous and glamorous outfits for Lady GaGa. On February 11th he passed away at the age of only 41 years, but his designs will be unforgotten.

His crossover into sportswear was perhaps best exemplified with his ongoing relationship with PUMA with a seasonal collection bearing his name. The Black Tech KO is presented here as it features a sleek mixed material upper with a nod to the traditional boxing boot.

Puma Halloween 2009 Pack

Puma Halloween 2009 Pack

It’s almost Halloween, and Puma is releasing this Halloween 2009 sneaker pack – no tricks, just treats here. This pack ships with two different Puma sneakers, the ‘Basket Boo’, and ‘Mr. Bones Mid’. Basket Boo is white leather with some nice green slime details around the eyelets, and super creepy ghosts on the soles and heel. Mr. Bones Mid is grey with green details, and some freaky Frankenstein-style stitching on the outside. It’s only a few days until thriller night, so you had better get a pair of fly kicks now! Puma Basket x Alex Albrandt | “A Fresh Combination”

Puma Basket x Alex Albrandt | “A Fresh Combination”

Swedish graffiti artist Alex Albrandt has customized a pair of Puma Baskets. Here is what Albrandt had to say about his approach to creating the sneakers:

“I always like a good sneaker to be clean, not too much and not to little from a design aspect! I wanted to play to my strength… so I mixed the abstract sense to it, with a strong mix of dirtiness! I gave the tongues a heavy facelift, as the Puma Basket always looks good “Jailhouse Style” (No laces) …and shabang “A Fresh Combination”.

You can read the whole interview with him at soleheaven. And after the jump you´ll find some more pics.

The Puma L.I.F.T. Racer just arrived!

liftracery1

Puma is pleased to announce the release of one of the most lightweight sneakers you will ever set foot in! The L.I.F.T. Racer, which stands for Lite Injected Foam Technology, has an unique construction which is created from lightweight foam injected into a mold, forming its upper in one piece to give the most incredible fit with no excess weight. While most sneakers are made by compression molding EVA and gluing multiple pieces together, the L.I.F.T. Racer not only uses the injection molding process to reduce the amount of excess materials, it also eliminates the need for glue by stitching its mesh on to complete the upper, creating an all around lighter weight sneaker. They Puma L.i.f.t. Racer are available now at Vagant! Get it here.

Puma By Mihara MY-41

puma-by-mihara-my41-1Here comes another sneaker from the Puma by Mihara Spring 2009 Collection. The Japanese designer has always something special in mind and the MY-41 comes with a very interesting design on the heel and especially the sole, with layers seeming to go into each other. We like the colorway and especially the matching laces. Otherwise its really a matter of style, as we are sure it is not for everyone.
