In recent years Stussy has certainly had a comeback, and especially their collaborative projects of high profile, have put the classic brand back on the map. Nevertheless the regular Stussy seasonal collections still offer a wide range of strong basics and that is no different for Spring 2009.

The Pump Court Victory has been reskinned and is based on the Michael Chang shoe. It comes in white/grey/pink and a black/blue/green version. There will also be a Polo Shirt fitting to the white one.
The white Pump Court Victory will be available in a few weeks and the Black/Green one will hit the storesfor the second quarter of 2009.
They’ll be available at Vagant.

Long heralded as one of the top art schools in the nation, Art Center College of Design in Pasadena has produced countless heavyweights in the industry for a long time. Product Design student, Nancy Wu, looks to be headed into that very direction with her masterful approach to cut and sew sneaker design. Taking elements from three separate pairs of footwear, Wu constructs various new models featuring a look reminiscent of those old school Roman sandals with a new age approach. Although the complete reconstruction customs have been done before, her designs are taken to another level with the creation of a completely original silhouette.

A special pack has come out for Holiday 2008 from the DC Shoes Life Collection, consisting of the Sector 7 and the Admiral. Both are made of premium oiled nubuck (perforated and non-perforated panels) with a leather embossed toe down and electric blue leather tongue.

Here we got the Asics Onitsuka Coolidge in a very special colorway. As you can see it comes in light blue and with a pink toe cap. The outer sole is white. The main part of the shoe has nice flowers stitched all over. It’ll be available in the first quarter of 2009 at Vagant.

Lately, Nike has been combining two different models of sneakers into one shoe with hopes of a great outcome. Here, we have a look at the newest hybrids, the Nike Alphalution and the Nike Sharkalaid. The Alphalution is a mix between the Nike Alpha Force and the Nike Air Revolution, while the Sharkalaid is a hybrid between the Nike Air Shake and the Nike Air Raid. The Alphalution features a clear air bubble under the heel with a strap on top of the laces, which help with comfort. The Sharkalaid has two straps that help with flexibility needed on outdoor courts. There are four colorways of each shoe, and each one is very appealing to the eye. The Alphalution will retail at $100, while the Sharkalaid will retail at $88.

Reebok has certainly come back onto the map in the last two years and over that period of time we have seen lots of interesting (and some less interesting) releases from the brand, that concentrates on releasing their classic silhouettes in modern make-ups.
That also continues in Spring 2009. The Freestyle Hi, ERS Racer, as well as a few new silhouettes come in lots of colorful options next season. Loud all-over patterns are put into the classic Freestyle, splatter designs decorate running and lifestyle shoes.
