Alexander McQueen x PUMA Black Tech KO

Alexander McQueen was one of the most important english Designers of his time, not only because of his famous and glamorous outfits for Lady GaGa. On February 11th he passed away at the age of only 41 years, but his designs will be unforgotten.

His crossover into sportswear was perhaps best exemplified with his ongoing relationship with PUMA with a seasonal collection bearing his name. The Black Tech KO is presented here as it features a sleek mixed material upper with a nod to the traditional boxing boot.

TANYA MORGAN PRESENTS LAURA’S TAPE STARRING DONWILL AS DON CUSACK

Tanya Morgan presents Laura’s Tape, the latest drop from group member Donwill in association with 2dopeboyz, FLuD Watches, IM Culture and Rocksmith Tokyo. The mixtape features tracks off Donwill’s debut LP Don Cusack in High Fidelity. Dropping just in time for Valentine’s Day and mixed by DJ KingMost, Laura’s Tape is laden with hip-hop and R&B sounds alike.

Mos Def – Ecstatic Moments Exhibition and T-Shirt

While Mos Def recorded his 2009 album, The Ecstatic, photographer, filmmaker, and visionist Cognito followed Mos while capturing various candid photographs of the artist that will now be on display for a week in Los Angeles as a part of the Ecstatic Moments Exhibition. The exhibition will include images from Mos Def’s visit to the Cape of Great Hope, South Africa and performing in Sao Paulo, Brazil as well as “end-of-the-night posse shots” featuring Jay Electonica, Talib Kweli, Erykah Badu, and Shuggie Otis. In addition to the exhibition, a limited edition tee was created in collaboration with Los Angeles boutique, UNION. The t-shirt is available now at UNION as well at their online store. Nike Air Max LeBron VII Cool Grey

LeBron’s signature sneaker continues to impress especially with the announcement of the cool grey colorway. Reminiscent of the Jordan XI, the kicks present a classic feel but without the use of the patent leather that VII as well as the XI were accustomed to. Eriberto Oriol For Altamont Collection

Eriberto Oriol is a highly-acclaimed documentary photography with a a gift for capturing the raw essence and realities of L.A. Latino street life, now his images have been chosen for a new Altamont t-shirt collection. Father to equally renowned street photographer Estevan Oriol, Oriol senior has been published extensively from the USA to Japan and will contribute four images from his personal catalog that represent his cultural roots and environment to be applied to t-shirts with symbolic captions. Nike x CollisionTheory – Manny Pacquiao Boxing Ring Portrait | Manila Viewing Party

Philippines-base art trope CollisionTheory returns to the scene with aggression, quite literally, over the weekend.  Commissioned by Nike and Nike Philippines the man behind CollisionTheory, AJ Dimarucot, created a portrait of the Filipino national hero, boxer Manny Pacquiao.  The larger than life illustration served as the boxing ring mat for an invite-only viewing party hosted by Nike for the Pacquiao vs. Cotto match Saturday evening.  A collage of symbolism in Pacquiao’s life, from the Philippine Eagle, personal stats, to championship belts and trainer Freddie Roach, all formed a resemblance of Pacquiao.  The canvas then went through a top-down splatter application in blood red paint.  Making the installation a hallowing effigy of the World Champion.
